CARRION

Animated scene for Yvonne Zhang’s shortfilm Carrion (American Film Institute thesis film).

It was through my good friend Marina Pérez, art director of this shortfilm, that this comission came to me. The brieffing was to concieve an animation piece to be reproduced on the TV that the kid main character is watching in a scene. It had to pretend to be an educational content explaning how the atrophic chain works with a hint of creepyness; it had to be cute while disturbing at the same time. I loved the idea and after a few sketches we decided the look and feel of the animation. I did the animation and color by using Procreate while I composited it in After Effects. Carrion won several prices in festivals arround the world.
